Air Jordan 12 (XII) - Rising Sun - White / Black - Varsity Red
The Air Jordan 12 (XII) recently made its return in a black / white / university blue colorway, and JB will reward fanatics once again by releasing a brand new colorway in the classic silhouette. They will feature a white leather construction with perforated portions, as well as black and red accents throughout. They have been dubbed the Rising Sun editions, and are scheduled to retail for $150 and release in October 2009. We’ll notify you guys if anything changes.

EX-LAKER CORIE BLOUNT ARRESTED ON FELONY MARIJUANA CHARGE
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said that the 39-year-old Blount retrieved the package from a Liberty Township address on Thursday. Deputies then followed him to his home nearby and arrested him. Jones said officers found another 11 pounds of marijuana inside Blount's house.
Blount was charged with felony drug possession. He was released from custody on $10,090 bond.
Blount, who attended Monrovia High School and Rancho Santiago Community College, went on to play center for Cincinnati's Final Four team in 1992. He then had an 11-year NBA career that included stints with the Chicago Bulls, Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors.

With all the talented designers at Paris Fashion Week, the top story remains Kanye West’s collaboration with Louis Vuitton. Kanye sits down with Dazed Digital on a brief interview talking about various subjects including his outlook as a designer, obsession with fashion, and favorite blogs among other subjects. “They’ve got a sci-fi influence with this flap up at the back. It came from a scene in ‘Dune’ where there was this jacket with a huge collar. Also Japanese pop art.”
…on his obsession with fashion
“I don’t know. I just love clothes. I picked out my own clothes when I first went to kindergarten and there’s no turning back since. And I’ve always been into clothes and I’ve always been into myself. And none of that’s changed since I’ve become a celebrity. It’s just allowed me to be more into myself and more into clothes!”
…on his aspirations as a designer
“I wanna be the type of designer that inspires people, not follow other ideas. I wanna be as innovative as Marc Jacobs has been. I wanna go from being a fashion plate to being an innovator. This collaboration is a dream come true. Everybody comes to these shows has a love of fashion, but then it’s just figuring out what’s your place in it. I’m a walking billboard but to be able to now create something from scratch is amazing.”

PHARRELL IS TRYING A NEW TATTOO REMOVAL PROCEDURE!
Pharrell, the more visible member of both the Neptunes and N.E.R.D., is aiming to change his skateboard image by removing some of his tattoos. But he won’t be doing it the old-fashioned way.
This week the music mogul and fashion trendsetter told British Vogue that his tattoos no longer fit his lifestyle and so he is trying a revolutionary new tattoo removal procedure, which involves applying replicated skin over old body art.
“It’s basically like getting a skin graft, but you’re not taking skin from your ass or your legs. These guys actually grow the skin for you,” he explained . “First you have to give them a sample of your skin, which they then replicate. Once that’s been done, they sew it on – and it’s seamless.”
With such a new and drastic procedure, one can only imagine the cost of the quick outpatient surgery. Although Pharrell would not give exact numbers, he did say that regardless of the price he plans to go ahead with the surgery.
“It’s going to be pricey, but worth it,” he says. “I got fire on my arms! I’m a grown man!”
The most common form of tattoo removal is laser treatment, which can be a very lengthy and painful process. The new grafting procedure should be a faster, less painful alternative.

XXL RECEIVED A LETTER FROM LV CONCERNING RICK ROSS FAKE LV SUNGLASSES!
The XXL Editors received this letter from Louis Vuitton concerning the May 2009 cover of Rick Ross.

We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.
The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct the confusion.
